The Senate Transportation Committee met this morning and, by a narrow vote of 4-3, passed H.B. 576, the bill that repeals the state’s motorcycle helmet law.  Once the chairman reports the bill out of committee, it will go to the end of a rather long line of bills the Senate plans to discuss.  As there are only 2 weeks left in the session, there is a good chance this is as far as the bill gets this  year.
