BRIAN J. BAUSANO, MD, FACEP
When I came to the University of Missouri in Columbia 4 years ago, it was for a singular mission: to start a residency program. As that dream has materialized, I have noticed that teaching residents at the bedside and in the classroom is not enough for me. I have come to the point in my young career that advocating for patients and my specialty has become integral to who I am as an EM physician. I would be honored to formalize that passion by becoming a board member of MoCEP. I cannot think of a more fulfilling role than representing my colleagues by helping to make Missouri a safe, more practical place to be an Emergency Physician while simultaneously fighting for the best possible resources for the best possible care for our patients. Thank you for considering my candidacy as a board member and I appreciate the opportunity to represent our patients, my colleagues and our beloved specialty.
LOUIS JAMTGAARD, MD
Kansas City, MO
I would like to help mold the future of emergency medicine through advocacy for our profession through MOCEP. Just as we impact the daily lives of our patients in the emergency department, we can also impact their lives by advocating for legislation that can directly impact their care. I want to serve as a liaison between my fellow Emergency Medicine physicians and the state legislature to ensure that politicians have access to our expertise and extensive training when making decisions. My recent participation in the MOCEP Advocacy Day highlighted that legislators are willing to listen to us and take our voice into account in their decision-making. I would be honored to represent Northwestern Missouri on the MOCEP board.
GEORGE KOBUROV, MD
I belong to MOCEP because it represents the needs of our patients and our specialty. MOCEP works tirelessly towards improving the care of our patients through legislative efforts, standardizing best practices for our physicians while reducing the regulatory burden/merit badges that are being placed on our docs. As a pediatric EM physician, I hope to bring a unique viewpoint and voice for the children in the communities we serve while being a resource for education, outreach, EMSC.

THOMAS PINSON, MD, MBA, CPE, FACEP
I have thoroughly enjoyed the 3 years that I have served the MOCEP Board of Directors. We presented or cosponsored 5 resolutions to ACEP, all of which were accepted, this past year. I would love to continue my service to Missouri Emergency Physicians. We are already working on resolutions that will assist Missouri Emergency Physicians in patient care and advocacy.
CHRISTOPHER SAMPSON, MD, FACEP
I belong to MOCEP because I enjoy being an advocate for EM physicians in Missouri and helping make Missouri a better place for us to practice in. I have enjoyed serving as the educational and programming chair for the past few years and hope to continue in my role. Providing quality educational opportunities and social events for emergency medicine physicians to meet their colleagues are some of my recent accomplishments while serving as chair. I also seek to look into new ways to offer continuing educations to our members. I view it as an honor to service on the MOCEP board and thank you for considering my candidacy.
EVAN SCHWARZ, MD, FACEP

It is important for Emergency Physicians to advocate for ourselves and for our patients. If we do not do this, no one else will. If we leave it to others, it will negatively impact our ability to offer our patients the best care that we can provide. MOCEP has done some great things such as advocating for tort reform, increasing reimbursement, and decreasing TCD hours requirements. I hope to help continue the work that has already been done. I hope to also improve the educational opportunities that MOCEP provides that include possible additions to the website and educational opportunities at conferences.
