Sampson Receives National Faculty Teaching Award

Christopher Sampson, MD, FACEP, and MOCEP’s Vice President, is the recipient of the 2018 ACEP National Faculty Teaching Award. Dr. Sampson is with the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Medicine and is an Associate Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine, and Program Director for the Emergency Medicine Residency program.

The National Faculty Teaching Award recognizes superior teaching activities including didactic lectures, clinical instruction, the development of innovative educational programs, as well as the endorsement by faculty, residents, and students.  Dr. Sampson stood out among the other nominees for his Chair’s assessment of his teaching skills, the strength of his letter of support, the number and nature of the awards he has received as well as for his level of involvement in undergraduate and GME education. 

Dr. Sampson will be recognized at the President’s Gala during ACEP18 as well as at the Academic Affairs meeting during ACEP18.  His name will also be placed on the ACEP Awards webpage.
