The Missouri EMS for Children office (MOEMSC) is a statewide grant that focuses on improving the care of acutely ill and injured children. A priority for this group and their national partners is to create a designation program in Missouri that assists hospitals in determining their capacity and readiness to effectively deliver pediatric emergency and specialty care. This effort is not intended to create expensive regulatory measures for Missouri hospitals, but will be built as a voluntary designation program.

Missouri currently does not have a designation program in place and MOEMSC has developed a steering committee to help create and serve as a voice for a designation program. If you are interested in participating in this effort you can contact Liz Kendrick at

EMSC also has created seven equipment libraries across Missouri with equipment to be used in peer-to-peer trainings, agency events or formal education programs. These libraries are hosted in each EMS region and the equipment is free to use. If you would like to borrow equipment for a training please contact Liz Kendrick at the email address above.
