COVID Vaccine Access

The Missouri College of Emergency Physicians (MOCEP) supports all emergency physicians and their role on the front lines of the COVID-19 response. We believe all emergency department medical personnel, including EMS and staff at a high risk of exposure, regardless of their age, should be afforded Group 1A access to the COVID vaccine as recommended by the CDC and FDA so they can safely continue the fight against this pandemic.

MOCEP would also like to encourage senior healthcare leaders to encourage vaccination within their teams and help to educate non-medical staff about the importance of getting vaccinated. Leaders will be looked upon to provide answers, so it is imperative that they be available to answer questions, share their vaccination experience, and explain the science behind the vaccine to educate others. It is important to celebrate the vaccine as the path to recovery for Missouri and the nation.
