MyEMCert Modules Offline

The MyEMCert platform will be offline in mid-January for a short period of time to update existing modules, add Key Advances, and launch two new modules.

  • You will not have access to any MyEMCert modules during this time.
  • You have three attempts to pass any topic-specific module. If you started an attempt of a module and paused to come back later, you must complete it before the downtime.
  • Any remaining questions in a module you started that have not been completed before the downtime will be marked as incorrect.
  • For modules for which you have registered but not yet started, make plans to finish them before the end of the calendar year or take them after the downtime ends.

Code of Professionalism and Statement on Physician Misinformation

ABEM issued a statement in support of public health measures that decrease the spread of COVID-19 and reduce the risk of severe illness such as the appropriate use of face masks and vaccination for eligible people. “Should ABEM determine that a physician is promulgating inaccurate information that is contrary to the interests of patients and that adversely impacts public safety, ABEM may withdraw or deny certification for that physician.” All ABEM-certified physicians and candidates for certification must read and adhere to the ABEM Code of Professionalism.
