The MOCEP Board of Directors decided to raise Missouri chapter dues by $25 (from $200 to $225). MOCEP has chosen not to increase our dues for nine years, but due to high inflation impacting the cost of benefits offered to members, and an increase in member benefits over the past years, we needed to make an increase this year. These benefits include:

• Meetings and events at a low cost or free to members (Advocacy Day, Missouri Reception at ACEP’s Scientific Assembly and Missouri Emergency Medicine Symposium)
• Discounted or free attendance for residents to events
• Free educational sessions for medical students
• An enhanced website (www.MOCEP.org)
• Resident research grants
• Grants for residents and students to attend National ACEP Meetings
• Representation at ACEP’s National Meetings
• Advocacy and administrative services
• Member awards, and much more.

We hope you will understand the need for the dues increase and take advantage of your many membership benefits we offer as a chapter, in addition to the many benefits offered by ACEP.

Additionally, in case you haven’t noticed, MOCEP has revamped the EPIC newsletter and hope you will take advantage of the improved newsletter and consider submitting articles/information for the newsletter.
