The Missouri College of Emergency Physicians is excited to announce a call for nominations for our prestigious awards and applications for our beneficial grants. The deadline for all submissions is December 31, 2023. Don’t miss this opportunity to recognize deserving individuals and support those who are passionate about emergency medicine.

R.R. Hannas Emergency Physician and Resident of the Year Awards

We are actively seeking nominations for these annual awards named after Dr. Ralston R. Hannas, a pioneer in Emergency Medicine. These awards honor one physician and one resident who embody the spirit, skill, and dedication of America’s emergency physicians. Nominees should demonstrate compassionate patient care, community service, collaboration with healthcare staff, and advancement of emergency medicine. Nominate a deserving physician or a dedicated resident today!


Lifetime Achievement Award

This award is designed to celebrate a member of the emergency medicine profession who has devoted their professional life to improving the field. We invite you to nominate current MOCEP members with at least 25 years of service to the field and active involvement in MOCEP. Submit your nomination now!

Student Advocacy Grant

MOCEP encourages medical students interested in emergency medicine to get involved. This grant provides $300 to one medical student each year to attend the ACEP Leadership Advocacy Conference (LAC) in Washington, D.C. The grant covers registration and travel expenses. The selected student will also write a short article about their LAC experience for the EPIC newsletter. Apply here.

Bill Jermyn MOCEP Advocacy Grant

This grant aims to encourage Emergency Medicine Residents to participate in MOCEP’s legislative activities. It offers up to $1,000 per Emergency Medicine Residency program in Missouri for residents to attend the annual ACEP LAC. The grant helps cover travel costs and expenses, while the resident is responsible for registration fees. Grant recipients will also write a short article about their LAC experience for the EPIC Newsletter. Apply now.
