Winter 2013: Springfield ER Doctor Receives AMPA Award

Congratulations to Charles Sheppard, MD, on receiving the 2012 Air Medical Physicians Association (AMPA) President’s Award for his outstanding board service and dedication to AMPA’s educational programs. Dr. Sheppard, an emergency physician and medical director of Life Line for Mercy Springfield Communities, received this award at this year’s AMPA Medical Director’s forum and conference in Seattle, where he was also a featured speaker for more than 2,000 participants.

AMPA is an international association of physician medical directors of air and ground critical care transport systems. Dr. Sheppard has served on AMPA’s board since 2007-2008 a

nd has lectured at many of AMPA’s educational meetings. Congratulations Dr. Sheppard on this achievement.
