Pennsylvania is now the 27th state to expand medicaid. they did so with the support of a republican governor, which has become more common. The states expansion looks like two Missouri border states, Arkansas and Iowa, where th estate uses the expansion money from the feds to purchase private managed care policies for the eligibles. Those newly enrolled Pennsylvanians will, like Iowa and Arkansas, have to pay a premium of up to 2% of their income. Will Missouri be next??
January 21 is Mocep legislative day, be there to talk to your legislator on Med Mal caps, medicaid and ER utilization issues.
