For several years MOCEP has been actively working with the Missouri State Medical Association, Missouri Hospital Association and other medical groups, to create a plan to address the opioid crisis in Missouri. Now that a majority of Missouri cities and counties have signed on to the St. Louis County Prescription Drug Monitoring Program we need to make sure physicians are signing up to participate in the program. Below is a video with Sam Page, MD, discussing the value of this new program.

An Opioid Toolkit has also been developed by the Missouri Hospital Association which includes strategies to reduce opioid misuse.
