How do you know if it’s an emergency? Many of the same symptoms can be either non-urgent or signs of something life-threatening. Patients shouldn’t have to guess. It’s a doctor’s job to find out.

Emergency physicians are pushing back against a dangerous emergency care policy by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield that sticks patients with huge bills if their diagnosis turns out not to be an emergency – based on a secret list of diagnoses by the insurance giant.
