Matt Murphy, MD, Awarded the 2019 MOCEP Resident Research Grant

The Missouri College of Emergency Physicians (MOCEP) is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2019 Resident Research Grant, Matt Murphy, MD. Dr. Murphy, along with faculty preceptor Stephen Liang, MD, MPHS, submitted the research project “Independent Predictors of Bacterial Meningitis in an Adult Emergency Department.” Both physicians are from the Divisions of Emergency Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine.

The goal of the Missouri Chapter’s Resident Research Grant is to facilitate the academic growth and research expertise of residents in emergency medicine and to promote research in emergency medicine. The results of the research project should be applicable to the everyday practice of emergency medicine.

Submissions will be accepted for the 2020 Resident Research Grant between June 1 and September 15, 2020. For more information, please go to the MOCEP website.
