MOCEP held their annual general membership meeting and elections in May. Thank you to all who turned out for the meeting and those that voted. It was our first time holding these events virtually/electronically and it proved to be a successful endeavor. We are still planning to hold the Missouri Emergency Medicine Symposium November 6 and the Emergency Medicine Student Symposium on November 7. These are still scheduled to be in person, and if that changes we will be sure to let you know.
The election process brought us a new President, Vice President, two board members and two councilors. Christopher Sampson, MD, FACEP, was elected as the MOCEP President for the next two years; Brian Bausano, MD, FACEP, was elected Vice President; Robert Poirier, Jr., MD, MBA, FACEP, was elected secretary/treasurer, and Evan Schwarz, MD, FACEP, FACMT, is now the Immediate Past President. We are grateful for the hard work and dedication that Dr. Schwarz brought to MOCEP during his term as President.
