MOCEP encourages medical students interested in Emergency Medicine to get involved during medical school. A great way to get involved in MOCEP is to apply for the Student Advocacy Grant for an opportunity to attend ACEP’s Leadership and Advocacy Conference (LAC) in Washington, D.C. This grant provides one medical student each year with $300 to attend LAC (expenses above this are the responsibility of the recipient. The grant will be provided in way of a reimbursement after the LAC.). The grant recipient is expected to attend MOCEP’s Advocacy Day, held each year in March), and commit to attend the LAC. The selected student will also be asked to submit a short article about their LAC experience for the EPIC Newsletter.
