MOCEP has developed a Health Policy Fellowship. The Fellowship is available to a student or resident, and the goal of the program is to:
- Identify individuals with the potential to become leaders in emergency medicine;
- Provide orientation and skills to allow potential leaders to promote emergency medicine locally and nationally including developing messaging for legislators and media
- Facilitate the promotion of fellowship graduates into leadership positions both locally and nationally.
- Understand the legislative process and how emergency medicine physicians can actively participate in it and increase their advocacy efforts
