Robert F. Poirier, Jr., MD, MBA, FACEP was the recipient of the National Alliance on Mental Illness 2022 Goodman Legacy Award. Dr. Poirier is the Clinical Chief and Associate Professor for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis.

The Goodman Legacy Award is presented to a mental health expert that has made an outstanding contribution to mental health. Dr. Poirier was chosen to receive this award because of his commitment to initiatives aimed at improving the well-being and health of the St. Louis community, and the support of the underserved and shoe with behavioral health emergencies.
