During 2022, ACEP’s Regs and Eggs blog featured a series of blog posts that delve into the concept of value-based care in emergency medicine. The first blog post was featured in May 2022 with an overview of value-based care and a highlight of working being done within EM to lower costs while improving the quality of care.
The second post was released in July and went deeper into the concept while discussing some of the challenges emergency medicine can face when moving towards value-based care payment models.
The final post was released December 1 with a three-step approach on how to make this transition.
