Dear MOCEP Members,

Season’s Greetings!  As we approach the end of 2025, it’s hard to believe how quickly the year has flown by. Thanksgiving is behind us, and we’re just weeks away from welcoming 2026. This year MOCEP had some significant achievements including a successful Emergency Medicine Symposium, a refreshed awards program, and the conclusion of another impactful legislative session.

Looking ahead, 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year. Please save these important dates:

• Advocacy Day: March 4, 2026
• Emergency Medicine Symposium: May 29, 2026 at Lake of the Ozarks
• Missouri Reception at ACEP26 Scientific Assembly: Date to be announced

We’re also gearing up for the 2026 legislative session. MOCEP’s key priorities include passing workplace violence legislation, ensuring a physician is present in every emergency department, and continuing the fight over scope of practice. To stay involved, join our legislative calls held on the third Monday of each month from January through June.
